Description

Ridgeville Early Incidents is a compilation of stories from Wyllys Terrell, Jr. – the grandson of two of the founding fathers of North Ridgeville and himself a resident starting at age 2 in 1811.  This includes 108 pages of  reminiscences based on stories he was told by the early settlers, plus his own childhood memories of the time, with added genealogical information for the founding families.  The stories originally were part of a newspaper column in a predecessor of the Elyria Chronicle Telegram in the 1870s and provide a fascinating view into life here in the frontier of the Western Reserve.
