Taps Across America

Founded in 2020 by a retired Air Force Bugler, this event has caught on across the country and area folks are invited to join us in this brief tribute of honor and remembrance.  We will join together at 3:00 on Memorial Day for a united performance of Taps- a 24 note melody that has honored fallen soldiers for over 150 years at ceremonies and cemeteries.  There will be no program, no speeches, just a brief moment of national remembrance.  All ages, instruments and abilities are welcome to join in this tribute at the Old Town Hall near the War Memorials.  Please see the music on our Facebook Page for your instrument’s key to ensure we can play in harmony.  (Music can also be requested by email: nrhistorical@yahoo.com).  Those in attendance can sing along or just bring your patriotism in support.
